  Henry Swabey is careful to clarify the important difference between interest and usury...a distinction that has been lost in recent years. In practice the Grameen banks for instance are peculiar in their pursuit...on grounds of expedience and good sense rather than ethical principle...of the sound medieval Christian policy of Usury Free Banking rather than Interest Free Banking. To modern minds...even the two or three percent who understand such matters...this will come as a surprise.

Hi Good to see this still here after a year or so. Thanks again for preserving and posting it. Yes it is good to understand and distinguish the difference of what is distinguished here. How do we bring this to the attention of the so-called Christians of the world who still believe it is ok for the bankers to (as one of my mentors said) "kill and then eat thier own customers"? When will they wake up/stand up and denounce this great evil?
